Carolina Apple Pork Brine
Make a great brine to marinade your pork in with this Carolina recipe. Using this apple infused pork brine will make your pork juicy and flavorful.
1 tbsp peppercorns
2 rosemary sprigs
½ cup Kosher salt
¼ cup brown sugar
4 large garlic cloves, chopped
1/3 cup sugar
¼ cup apple cider vinegar
3 cups apple juice
1 large Carolina apple, cored and sliced
2 cups ice cubes
Bring apple juice to a light boil then reduce heat to a simmer.
Stir in all other ingredients except ice cubes.
Simmer for 3 minutes and remove from heat.
Let brine cool for 5 minutes then add ice cubes.
Stir well until ice cubes are melted.
Let cool completely before brining pork.
