Carolina Coast Creole Sauce

A great creole sauce recipe originating from the Carolina Coast


2 cups tomato sauce

1 tbsp tomato paste

2 tbsp lemon juice

2 tsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tbsp honey

1 tbsp butter

¼ cup fresh whole basil leaves

6 sprigs of fresh thyme

½ large onion

3 large cloves garlic

2 tsp chili powder

2 tsp black pepper

1 tsp salt



Medium pot

Rubber spatula



Combine all ingredients in the pot.

Place pot on medium heat and bring to a simmer.

Simmer for about 15 minutes.
