Grilled Watermelon Salad

This unique recipe combines fresh ingredients for a flavorful and refreshing watermelon dish.


Watermelon, cut into rectangles, 4 inches long, 3 inches wide, 1 inch thick

2 medium tomatoes, chopped

1 medium garlic clove

2 tbsp fresh basil, sliced thinly

1 tbsp fresh mint, sliced thinly

Balsamic glaze (See Recipe Here) (Or buy some from the grocery store)

Olive oil

Kosher salt

Black Pepper, fresh ground



Grill or Grill Skillet


Medium bowl



Pre-heat grill or skillet to medium-high heat.

Mix tomatoes, garlic, basil and mint together in the bowl.

Brush olive oil on both sides of watermelon.

Grill watermelon until there are char marks.

Flip watermelon and char other side.

Remove from heat and plate 1 piece of watermelon per plate.

Sprinkle salt lightly over each piece of watermelon.

Top watermelon with tomato, garlic, basil and mint mixture.

Drizzle balsamic glaze over the top.

Grind pepper over top.
